new artists, new doodles.

It's been a rough while.
Part of a challenge I've made up for myself. Explanation here.

My rendition of Lewis Carroll's Caterpillar (from Alice in Wonderland). For purposes I don't feel like explaining.
Sketchdump!

I've also recently fallen in love with the art of Daniela Uhlig and Alexander McQueen (because fashion can be art, you know). And darling moosekleenex of the deviantART community has recently sold me two very lovely prints, of which I will have pictures once they are both safely in my possession and framed. (I also own something from Twelfth!)

StumbleUpon and it's "anatomy" label are my heroes at the moment. Some very fun things to play around with - if only school wasn't in the way!

Now excuse me, for I have to get up for work in about three hours. C: <3
Enjoy some Beyonce.

tessa's art exchange!

So, I inconveniently signed up for Tessa's Art Exchange when my scanner decided to inconveniently DIE. So, basically, I had to do the exchange piece in Photoshop entirely, by mouse. =3= Here are some progress shots fo you!

So then, I fiddled with a background color and some [lame] gradient effects to get...
I really need to do more decent drawings for people. ; ;

sketches galore! not.

I have this funny OCD thing about updating frequently, so I looked about my desk and found a few doodles that I should probably finish soon, but don't have the time to.
Whoops?

Anyways, let's start off with something I'm actually mildly satisfied with- the Ria reference sheet! It's not very detailed, but it's about as accurate as something needs to be. 'Cept I should have made her hair curlier. Let's not ask when this was drawn, 'cause I won't be able to tell you. XD
I do rather enjoy the little expression I doodled. There was actually a caption I cropped that said, "WHAT ARE YOU IMPLYING?" Good times, good times. ;D
Now, this next doodle is somewhat of a self-portrait. Note the somewhat. Actually, it's a bandwagon challenge that I should really get to soon. If you can't read the text, it says, "Prone to weird situations, like getting caught in a Disney-style bear trap with a paper expression in hand." I love how weird it looks, honestly. XD
Should reeally get to finishing that.
Oh well.
For now, comic page! : D

In other new-- ooh! My hair's all soft. <3
... Ahem. Anyways! In OTHER NEWS, I managed to superglue my hair to a clip today. How? Well, it all started when my mother was UNAWARE OF MY EXTRA SHELVING (floor) and stepped on a clippy. I superglued it together today, but then I had to leave for a choir audition, and, you know, being impatient little old me, I shoved it onto my head to look spiff.
Came home to discover that a strand was rather safely secured onto the clip. Needless to say that I had to cut it Obviously not a very big deal, but... Yeah. I think I oughta go to bed. XD
